The highlights of the 50+ Ski Club are its overnight ski trips during the winter. In early January of each year the club has a weekend bus trip to a location like Killington or Okemo in Vermont.

The next big trip, for a week, usually takes place in mid-January to a ski area out west. In the past the club has gone to Copper Mountain, Steamboat, Vail, Crested Butte, Park City, and other western ski areas. A highlight of this January trip is the Nastar races. The club reserves the Nastar race course for a few hours while our members race down the slalom course. Many of our members have been awarded gold and silver medals.

The next trip is a mid week trip to a ski area in Vermont. In the past we have gone to Mount Snow and Stratton. On this trip members usually car pool. We stay at a lodge close to the mountain where we can Ski enjoy one anothers company when we are not skiing. In mid-February, the club sponsors another weeklong trip. These trips have been to locations in Europe as well as to the Western United States. We have gone to Chamonix, Kitzbuhl, Innsbruck as well as Sun Valley and Tahoe. There is usually another formal trip in early March to a location out west.

For many weeks during the winter there are day ski trips to places like Camelback in the Poconos, Bellayre in the upper Catskill Mountains of New York, Windham in the same area and Mountain Creek in New Jersey. These car pool trips all take place on a weekday when there are no crowds.
